Gairloch Kayak Centre is under new ownership!!
Hi, I’m Fraser, senior instructor from 2019 to 2022 but now the proud owner of Gairloch Kayak Centre.
I started my instructing career as a snow sports instructor nearly ten years ago. Since then, I have become qualified in many outdoor adventure activities such as rock climbing, archery, mountain biking, and of course canoeing and kayaking. I have been leading groups in the outdoors all over Scotland and even a season teaching skiing in Japan!
I first joined Gairloch Canoe and Kayak Centre in 2019 and spent the summer guiding groups round Shieldaig Bay and Loch Maree and was awarded Best Outdoor Adventure Experience that year by the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards. I loved it so much I came back for the next three seasons.
In 2023 I took a step back from kayaking and worked for the Highland Council Access Rangers in Wester Ross. My job was to promote responsible camping and teach people on the North Coast 500 to follow the Scottish outdoor access code.
The next chapter for the Gairloch Kayak Centre will be with me, Fraser, at the helm. I cant wait to meet some of you this year and possibly see some familiar faces!
Book now for a kayak adventure with me at the Gairloch Kayak Centre.
P.S No major changes, we will still be based at Shieldaig Lodge near Gairloch and offer fantastic group kayaking experiences both in the bay and on Loch Maree.
Fraser
